INTRO TO THE TRACK $45
Beginners Only! Have you always wanted to ride on the track but aren’t sure if you are ready?

The “Intro to the Track” program is only $45 and gets you out on the track for two (2) twenty (20) minute sessions with 1-on-1 instructions on and off the track at all of our Thunderhill events.

All “Intro to the Track” riders are required to attend the riders meeting before the first session of the day. The riders meeting is at 8:00 a.m. and lasts for approximately thirty (30) minutes.

During the riders meeting Fun Track Dayz explains track procedures, rules and flags.

The first twenty (20) minute “Intro to the Track” session is at 9:00 a.m. and is 100% controlled and led by instructors in groups of 5 riders, allowing you to learn the track layout. Once your first session is complete, there is a mandatory follow-up class for all “Intro to the Track” riders at, 9:30 am, going more in depth into the riding techniques and giving you a chance to ask any questions you might have.

The second twenty (20) minute “Intro to the Track” session is at 10:00 a.m. This session is with 1-on-1 instructions on the track. After the second session is complete, your second class will be at 10:30 am. After which, if you decide that you want to ride the rest of the day (additional five (5) twenty (20) minute sessions), we will apply your $45 toward a full track day and you pay the remaining balance of $115-$130.

Space for “Intro to the Track” is limited. Check our website for more information on gear, motorcycle requirements and event dates. Registration the day of the event is subject to availability, please book in advance to ensure your spot. All “Intro to the Track” riders must ride in the Cruzin’ group only, no exceptions. On/Off Procedure

When entering the track going into turn one, always locate your blend line. Look over your shoulder and blend with extreme caution. More in depth explanation at the mandatory riders meeting.

At no time are participants to walk the track before or between sessions.

The Blend Line

One of the most common Infractions we see during Track day events is the crossing of the ‘BLEND LINE’ when coming out of the Pits.

The Blend Line is a painted or imaginary line that keeps you on the outside of the track until it is safe to enter the track. Depending on the track the Blend Line could be turn one only, but also as late as turn 3 (WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for example)

Crossing the Blend Line is a VERY dangerous affair. DO NOT CROSS THE BLEND LINE! The speed difference between a Rider entering the Track and traffic already on track could be upwards of 100 MPH!

We at Fun Track Dayz understand how exciting it can be getting on the track and that mistakes can happen. We want you to have a great day on the track and want you to do so safely.

I’ve crossed the ‘Blend Line’ what now?

All tracks enforce the Blend Line very heavily!!! You will be Black flagged and required to come to Grid to have a talk with the Track official/Grid Marshal. If you do get a Black Flag, you must complete your lap. Do not hide in the pits. Do see the Track official/Grid Marshal promptly.

It does not matter if you are the first person out. The blend line cannot be crossed under any circumstances when leaving the Pits.

More in depth explanation at the mandatory riders meeting.

LAGUNA SECA SOUND LIMITS

Laguna Seca sound limits (90dB)
The Racetrack organizers at Laguna Seca enforce a very strict 90dB limit EVERY LAP OF EVERY SESSION.

We at Fun Track Dayz recommend that you use stock exhaust or “quiet baffles”. However, we can NOT guarantee that any motorcycle will pass even in OEM trim.
There are quiet exhaust baffles and modifications available to make even full racebikes comply within Laguna Seca’s guidelines. We recommend you research the best option for your motorcycle ahead of the Event date to maximize the FUN.

What happens if I am above the decibel limit?
If you exceed the noise limit you will be shown the ‘meatball’ flag at Turn 8 (corkscrew) and/or at the Finish line and we will need you come to the grid to talk.

Requirements

  • DOT Full Face Helmet (No Modular)
  • One Piece or Zip Together Two Piece Leathers. You can wear a textile one piece or two piece suit that zips together with protective armor in the Cruzin’ group, but we highly recommend wearing leathers.
  • Motorcycle Specific Boots/Gloves (back protector recommended)
  • Clean Motorcycle (no leaks)
  • Remove Fuses or Tape Off Lights
  • Remove or Tape Off Turn Signals and Mirrors
  • Tape wheel weights
  • Tires with good tread depth
  • Brakes with good pads and rotors
  • Chain lubricated with no kinks/Sprockets not worn
  • Bring a Great Attitude!

  • Fun Track Dayz does not provide medical insurance. All riders are responsible for providing their own personal medical insurance coverage.

Who We Are

Fun Track Dayz was created in June of 2015 by August “Augie” Weber Sr. AFM #78 with the mission to provide safe and fun track days to riders of all skill levels, from Cruzin’ (C)group, to Advanced (B) group, and finally to Extreme (A) group.

Every track day offers free classes to teach you the basics. A body position clinic to help you feel more comfortable and in control of your bike, not only on the track, as well as on the street. Our Instructors many of whom are American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) seasoned racers, all remember what it is like the first time they rolled their bikes onto a live race track. They will coach you in a controlled environment. In each Group you will learn at your own pace.

Fun Track Dayz is all about you, the riders, our customers. We help you every step of the way. We are here to help you all day.

Our first time track riders sign up for our Cruzin'(C) Group, where you will ride at a moderate (speed) pace. Our Advanced (B) Group riders, will have more experience from being on the track before and will ride at a higher pace. Our Extreme (A) Group riders will have ridden several track days and feel comfortable with an even higher pace.

The skills you learn at Fun Track Dayz will make you more comfortable, confident, smoother, consistent, safer and predictable both on the track and when you ride on the street.

Remember to tell all your friends how much FUN it is to ride with Fun Track Dayz!

Fun Track Dayz hosts events on the best tracks Northern California has to offer: Thunderhill Raceway, Sonoma Raceway (also known as Sears Point) and Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca

Youth Racer Program

Fun Track Dayz is proud to announce the continuance of our Youth Racer Program.

With this program, Fun Track Dayz, and Lil’ 99 Stockton desire to enable young racers, who gain skills and techniques on the go kart tracks, to gain more experience on the bigger road race tracks. (Thunderhill Raceway Park allows 13 year olds)

Fun Track Dayz strongly believes that Youth Racers are our future.

Anyone interested in being part of our Youth Racer Program please contact us at info@funtrackdayz.com or allen@stockton99.com
